Learn how to raise a happy, well-behaved puppy. The first few months of a puppy’s life are considered its sensitive period. It is during this time that a puppy must be properly socialized and exposed to new people, places, children, other pets, sights and sounds. These group sessions in our facility emphasize the prevention of common behavior problems, establishing a strong bond between owners and their puppies, encouraging good temperament, and teaching basic household manners. This program also covers basic obedience cues such as Sit, Down, Come, Drop It and others.
Classes are held weekly. Just select the day of the week you want to come and call the office for a start date:
- Tuesday evenings in Chestnut Ridge.
- Saturday mornings in Chestnut Ridge.
Vaccination requirements for participation in class: 2 sets of puppy inoculations
The cost of Puppy Kindergarten, 1 private session plus 4 weeks of class is $220
PREMIER PUPPY PACKAGE – Puppies up to 4½ months old
A combination of private sessions and puppy class. It is our most successful training option. We meet for the first private session in the training room. This will help you and your family learn about: setting up a prevention plan; learning in a non-distracting environment; house training your puppy; and building foundation skills for you, your family and your pup. This session gives your pup a chance to acclimate and have fun in the room with us before the other puppies come together. The next private is in your home (in your yard during COVID 19). In the puppy class, you will learn how to: teach your puppy sit, down, come, stay, leash walking and more along with how to socialize your puppy and build your training skills in a more distracted environment. You can add additional private sessions at the discounted rate after the package is completed.
2 Private Sessions- 1 in center and 1 at home plus 4 weeks of class – $310
3 Private Sessions- 1 in center and 2 at home plus 4 weeks of class – $390
3 Private Sessions- 1 in center and 3 at home plus 4 weeks of class – $460
All sessions must be completed within 3 months from the first session.
